What nonsense! There is a lot of evidence for evolution!!! I don't want to offend anyone here! I'm actually a deist! What's the point of writing about Man's origins in this franchise. Do Jack Sparrow or others mention the origin of humans as a species? Answer: no. You won't find this anywhere in books or films. What's the point of writing about evolution here? —Unsigned comment by Олег Евко (talk • contribs).
- First, please remember to sign your Talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~), just for future reference. And secondly, no offense taken, but not without some disagreement. Human history spans many years, with the earliest known POTC information being the Second century AD or even before Greece was founded, the latter supposedly being when the First Brethren Court met which has been more or less debunked, and our "History" content ending at the 1750s...so quite a long period of time to cover. So, with that in mind, having an article about humans (or humanity in general) isn't too far fetched. However, to focus specifically on these points here:
- Answer: no. You won't find this anywhere in books or films. - True, the films have very little-to-no information to contribute to a "Human" article. But have you read all the books yourself to confirm this?
- What's the point of writing about evolution here? - The article is called "Human", not "Evolution". Not to say that evolution won't be part of the article at some point, but unless properly sourced, it may not have much place in the current article.
- With all that being said, I'm sure the article needs to be updated with information from POTC sources, with the more "out-of-universe" information moved to the introduction summary, if not deleted entirely. Of course, while there is evidence for evolution in the real world, there is limited detail on the subject outside of the fact that humans appear in almost every POTC media thus far...presuming "Mermaids of the Caribbean" doesn't become a thing, which even then, they are supposed to be half-human. -- J FanOn Stranger Tides 10:03, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
